His Word

God’s perfect law refreshes the soul;
They reveal our sins to me as a whole.
His statutes are trustworthy and true;
It shows the need for Christ to me and you.

The precepts of the Lord are right,
It brings wondrous joy into our night.
His commands are a pleasant surprise,
They give the light of truth to our eyes.

The Love of the Lord endures forever;
It is pure and will leave us never.
His righteous decrees are firm and fast;
They are the same tomorrow as in the past.

By His holy word we are informed;
And by following we are transformed.
Although by the world it may be scorned,
But to us who know, it is a rich reward.

Listen close to what has been told;
His word is more precious than gold.
It is sweeter than finest of honey;
And can not be purchased with money.

In His word He speaks and it is revealed;
His mercy and love for us not concealed.
In His word we find the strength to stand;
Forever saved by His nail scared hand.
