How Should I Respond?

How should I respond to Him who heard my call?
What could I give to the one who gave His all?
Awake, my soul and sing to Him who died for me.
Stand and sing praises to the one who set you free.

Because of His great love He willingly paid the price,
Not with silver or gold but with His blood did sacrifice.
While I was still a sinner He called me to be His own,
No matter how hard things got I would never be alone.

The Lord has made known to us His salvation;
And revealed His righteousness to the nations.
I now know the road I travel is just temporary,
God’s loving arms is my final goal, my sanctuary.

I will not fear, I will not tremble from day to day.
My Lord has promised good to me, He is my way!
He is my direction and purpose, my very way of life;
He is my teacher, my guide, my refuge from strife.

Sing and shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
Burst into jubilant song, sing for all you are worth.
Let us all join our voices to praise the Lord above;
Let us sing glad songs to our Lord God of Love.
