New Life

I once was a wicked, wicked man;
Burdened by sin I could hardly stand.
But it all changed that wonderful day,
When Jesus came, my debt to pay.

From my prison I have been set free;
My savior paid the price to pardon me.
Bought and paid for by the blood of Christ,
He loved me enough to pay the sacrifice.

He took on all my sins as His own;
And there on that cross did atone.
They were dead and buried in the grave,
By His love and mercy I was saved.

Because of the blessings He gives;
By His hand His humble servant lives.
Each day of this life I will live for Him,
I can because He has taken away my sin.

It was only when I submitted that I won;
And found my victory was in God’s Son.
If what you see in me pleases you,
I can tell you how you can have it too.

You will find it is simple but now easy,
But He will help you just like He did for me.
Are you tired from all the struggle and strife?
He will make you new and give you a new life.
