Promise is Forever

Come near that you may hear;

Listen close that you may live.

The Lord’s promise is forever;

It is unbreakable, faithful and true.


The Lord has set rulers over you;

As a witness to you of His truth.

You can call upon distant people,

And they will come because of your God.


Surely your rulers know of Him;

It was He that gave them crowns.

He was the God of their youth;

Have they forgotten Him in their age?


They all speak of your splendor;

You are blessed by Him alone.

The vastness of your wonders,

No others have known.


Open your ears and listen to me;

Open you eyes, can you not see?

Turn back from your wicked ways;

Call to the Lord while He is near.


Turn to the Lord, He will show mercy,

Walk with Him, He will freely pardon.

He is the Lord, your Almighty God;

And His loving promise is forever.
