When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place.
The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?
The Lord is with me; he is my helper.
I look in triumph on my enemies.
When the storms of life raged around me;
My Lord was there to protect and comfort me.
When I was beat down and hard pressed;
The Lord lifted me and helped me stand the test.
My Lord is with me, of what shall I fear?
No harm can come with my Lord right here.
As I walk with the Lord, He walks with me;
What I do not know yet, He already sees.
The Lord is my helper in all that comes my way.
In good times and bad times He is here to stay.
The Lord stood guard over me in the darkness;
He held me safe in His warm loving caress.
The Lord my God has been with me all the way.
Why would I not totally trust in Him every day?
The Lord is my salvation, with Him shall I stand.
My great joy is revealed in His command.
