The Stone

There is a stone…a stone in Zion,
It is a cornerstone tested and true.
It is our strength, a firm foundation;
Hold it close it’s a treasure for you.

Christ is the rock on which we rely;
We need not panic, tremble or cry.
Justice will be the line of measure;
And righteousness a royal treasure.

There is a stone…a stone in Zion,
It is a cornerstone tested and true.
He is that solid rock of our salvation;
On the cross He died for me and you.

He’s our refuge against Satan’s snares;
He is our comforter for all of our cares.
Listen close to the wise words of old,
Stand with the wise, the brave and bold.

There is a stone…a stone in Zion,
It is a cornerstone tested and true.
Listen and heed our Master’s call.
Follow in His steps or we may fall.
