It’s about time I wrote about time.
We think we have a lot of time,
But we don’t like wasting time,
Yet we really do it all the time.
We don’t know how much we’ve got.
So we spend the time that we have not,
How much time do we spend as we plot,
On how to spend the time we have got?
We think we have time to spare,
So we use our time without a care.
Time’s wasted if we do not wisely share
Our time with those we love and care.
We think we can measure time.
But that really bends my mind,
No one can truly show me time,
Nor place it this hand of mine.
We value our time that others waste,
But ourselves we squander in haste.
It is love we should savor and taste,
And from hate we should flee in haste.
A fool carries a grudge for a long time,
It does no good it’s just a waste of time.
The wise knows that to forgive is divine,
And God will bless his use of time.
Well I’ve come to the end of my time,
And I want to thank you for your time,
That you spent reading this rhyme.
So I will just say so long till next time.
