Pledge
I thirst for you as a parched man,
Who is wandering in the desert sand.
Every fiber of my being longs for you.
My Lord, my God there is none like you.
In the sanctuary your face I have seen,
It is your mercy that washed me clean.
My ears have heard your wondrous story,
And my eyes beheld your power and glory.
I will praise you for as long as I live,
Forgetting not the blessings you give.
The richness of your word satisfies,
And brings tear of great joy to my eyes.
In your name I will lift my hands,
Help me to follow your commands.
Put a song on my lips all day long,
And open my eyes to right and wrong.
On my bed I remember you at night;
You are my salvation I hold to so tight.
I cling to you Lord for you are my lifeline;
Your mighty hand hold me all of the time.
I rise with the dawn my heart filled with song;
You give me voice that I may sing out strong.
On oath I swear my sword I pledge to my King;
He is now my life, my purpose my everything.
