Morning Thoughts

Carl’s Morning Thoughts

Sometimes we need to stop and think.
We say we love the Lord, which is fine. We should love the Lord. Then we should love that which He loves. And hate what He hates.
We know He hates sin. But do we know He loves the sinner?
Some may think I’m out of my mind. But wasn’t it for the sinner that He died? It was while we were still sinners that He came to pay our price. So no matter where we are in our life, Christ loves us!
How should we respond? By living the life He has called us to live. How are we to know what His will is for our lives? By seeking it through His word. The more we study His word the more He will reveal to us. We will see His glory shine and know His blessings in each day.
If we believe in the ways of the world, we believe in a lie. And we become weak and die. But when we believe in the truth, the word of God, we become strong and live a full life.
Faith, hope and trust are needed in our walk with Him and He provides it through the means of grace.
To be baptized in Him, is to drown the old sinful self that we may live in the light of truth. We are raised with Him as we follow His word.
His word should be a daily part of our walk with Him. It is a personal communing with Him. We go to Him with our cares and concerns and He reassures us with His loving promises. In addition to our daily seeking Him, when we study His word with other believers more is revealed and we become ever stronger.
If we really want to know His will for us we will not only study His word but also follow it. Knowing and obeying are two very different things.
Just a few of my morning thoughts.
