Walking in the Way

Those who live by this worlds flow,
Have set their minds and can not grow.
Their hearts crave its poisonous desire,
And so can not raise themselves higher.

But those who live in Christ will show,
And their Lives live out what they know.
Their hearts are filled with God’s desire,
And they know His promises will transpire.

The minds ruled by sin, live no more;
But those ruled by Spirit live and soar.
The mind of this world is hostile to God;
To submit to His will to them seems odd.

We, who believe, know our old ways died;
And we live free walking by Christ’s side.
He fills our heart with His mercy and love;
That we may reflect His glory above.

We carry His words of hope into the dark,
So that the lost may see His loving spark.
Our heart fills with joy as we serve Him;
That we may be used to reach out to them.

As we continue to walk in His way we grow;
Blessed in truth, the more of Him we know.
As I lay in rest, He shares His words of love;
I see a glimpse of the beauty of heaven above.
