One God, One You

One God, one you, joined together by love it’s true,
That’s the type of relationship God wants with you.

The Lord God of us all speaks and a new day begins;
His precious love shines down on us never to end.
Listen in the quiet of day and in the stillness of night;
Stand watch from the hilltops for a wondrous sight;
Be ready in your heart, for His day is close at hand.

The Mighty One, the God of Israel will claim His own;
His people whose covenant and sacrifice was known.
All heavens proclaims the righteousness of His justice;
He who made the law, fulfilled the law in the pureness.
Do not forget the sweet taste of these peaceful days,
As the angry clouds of the tempest darkens our way.

There is but one God; the same God for old and new;
The God of Jacob and Isaac, is the God of me and you.
The promise He made with Abraham, He honors still.
When we love and honor Him our hearts He will fill.
