Selfish Greed

Everyone under heaven give ear;

The Lord your God knows your fear.

Listen to what His word is saying;

This is not a time to be playing.


The one who created you in love,

Looks down from heaven above.

He sees the games you’ve played

How His children have strayed.


A horse knows his masters hand,

And readily responds to his command.

You claim to bare your Father’s name,

But now hang your head in shame.


You have heard His words for you,

You know His promises are true.

He has spoken on what is right,

But you have turned from His light.


Where is it that you stand today?

When you answer what will you say?

Is it upon His holly word you feed?

Or do you follow your selfish greed?
